LeasingHub Limited collects information about you when you use our mobile applications, websites, or other services (collectively, “Services”). We are committed to comply with the obligations and requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, Cap.486 (the “Ordinance”) and therefore it is our policy to ensure our policies and practices in relation to the collection, use, transfer, store and access of personal data in compliance with the obligations and requirements of the Ordinance. This privacy policy applies to any user of our Services for any reason and is subject to revision from time to time.

 

2. Types of Personal Data Collected

For the purpose of provision of real estate agency services and the prevention of money laundering, customers may be requested on voluntary basic to provide personal data including but not limited to the name, contact details (including but not limited to telephone number, email and correspondence or billing address), identification document number and copy of any document which may contain the personal data of the customers, such as identity card, passport, bank statements and utility bills. Without the provision of such personal data, we may not be able to provide real estate agency services.

 

3. Use of Personal Data

The personal data collected by customers may be used for the purpose of:
a. identity identification
b. provision of real estate agency services
c. marketing and promoting of any of our services
d. collection of outstanding debts from customers
e. legal proceedings and/or enforcement of judgments and/or orders.
f. Disclosure as permitted or required by law
g. Market research

 

4. Transfer of Personal Data

All personal data held by us will be kept confidential but may be transferred to the following parties:
a. co-operative real estate agents
b. law firms, banks, financial institutions, insurers, service providers for mortgage referral, financial planning, property valuation, immigration consultancy and/or wealth management
c. government departments, regulatory bodies, courts or law-enforcement organizations as required by law
d. courts, tribunals and/or parties to the legal proceedings
e. debt collection agencies or debt-recovery organizations.

 

5. Data Collected through Internet

When you visit our website, information including but not limited to your source IP address, access time, URL, browser type and device type are recorded for the purpose of maintaining and improving our website. We do not use, and has no intention to use the visitor data to personally identify anyone. We may send cookies to your computer primarily to enhance your online experience. You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However various features of our services may not properly function without cookies.

 

6. Use of Personal Data for Direct Marketing

We may use the name and contact details (including telephone number, fax number, email and/or correspondence address) of the customers for direct marketing of the real estate agency services provided by us.

 

7. Request to Cease the Use of Personal Data for Direct Marketing

Even if customers have given consent to us on the use and/or transfer to the Third Parties of their personal data for marketing, customers may still have the right, at any time without charge, to request us to cease to use and/or transfer their personal data to the Third Parties for direct marketing. 8. Security and Retention of Personal Data

We have implemented internal control measures to ensure the security of personal data and to prevent unauthorized or accidental access, process, erasure, loss or use of personal data. Personal data provided by you are retained until the completion of the purposes for which such data were collected and will not exceed 7 years in general, or such longer period as prescribed by applicable laws, rules and regulations as well as guidelines, practice circulars, code of ethics and practice directions issued by the regulatory authorities and applicable to us.
