The Center is a prominent Grade A office skyscraper located at 99 Queen's Road Central, standing as a landmark of the Hong Kong skyline. Completed in 1998, it was a flagship project of the Land Development Corporation (now the Urban Renewal Authority) and Cheung Kong (Holdings). Rising 346 meters with 73 storeys, it is renowned for being one of the world's tallest entirely steel-structured buildings, featuring a distinctive octagonal star-shaped design and a computer-controlled external lighting system that illuminates the harbor at night.
The building is situated in the heart of Central, strategically positioned between the Central and Sheung Wan MTR stations. Its design emphasizes efficiency, offering column-free floor plates that maximize usable space and natural light. As part of an urban renewal initiative, the ground level features "H6 CONET," a vibrant community space with exhibition areas and public seating, integrating the corporate tower with the local neighborhood.
The tenant mix is highly prestigious, primarily composed of global financial institutions, multinational corporations, and law firms. Notable occupants have included major banks like DBS and the Bank of Beijing, as well as credit rating agencies like Moody's. Following its record-breaking sale in 2017, the building transitioned to strata-title ownership, attracting a diverse range of high-profile investment firms and family offices.
The Center is a strata-titled Commercial Building with offices of 1350 - 25695 sq.ft. on gross available for sale, and for rent at around HK$32 - 83 per sq.ft..
